Due to continued success and business growth, a role has been created for a focused, energetic and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful team for a leading logistics business in Stoke on Trent; the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape the reporting and add real value.

Key duties as Assistant Management Accountant include:

• Manage Finance Clerk & Reception
• Produce and develop operational reports for the Customer
• Produce site statistics and monitor KPIs
• Analyse operational and financial data in order to explain trends and justify expenditure levels
• Develop new reports to aide management as required
• Support Projects
• Assist in the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
• Maintain resource database integrity
• Time and Attendance and payroll data integrity and reporting including payroll checks
• Collation and analysis of the site's weekly labour utilisation by activity
• Cover for Finance Clerk duties including production of weekly accounts and statistics, balance sheet reconciliation and production of period end reports.

Key requirements for the position of Assistant Management Accountant:

• Ability to work accurately under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Experience with Oracle systems and Time & Attendance systems essential
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills necessary including creating complex formulae essential
• Competent, conscientious, self motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
• Must be part qualified CIMA/ACCA with aim to complete studies (This role would suit someone at the early stages of their CIMA/ACCA)
• Supervisory experience would be preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access an advantage
• Knowledge of Kronos Time &Attendance system an advantage
