Start your job searchWe are partnering with a global business on the appointment of an Assistant Tax Manager to join the EMEA in-house tax function. This role offers an ideal route in-house for an ACA / ACCA/ CTA qualified tax professional.
The team has oversight of all corporate tax and VAT matters across the EMEA territories. As well as responsibility for corporate tax and VAT aspects of commercial projects, it is responsible for the UK corporate tax compliance for all UK companies. The team provides corporate tax and VAT support to the EMEA country finance teams and monitors the corporate tax charge for all entities in the EMEA group, as well as working closely with the US head office to provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting details. The team is fully involved with setting intercompany charges and maintains the EMEA group transfer pricing documentation.
As Assistant Tax Manager, your role will primarily be to support the EMEA Head of Tax with additional opportunities to take on some responsibilities for non-UK tax and transfer pricing. The role will comprise approximately 40% UK tax compliance, including responsibility for c. 30 UK company tax returns and tax administration (e.g. managing withholding tax forms/claims). The role will also encompass country-focussed work including supporting smaller country finance teams on tax matters and EMEA transfer pricing.
We are looking for an ambitious, qualified accountant with strong tax accounting experience. You will either have built your career in Practice or in-house but the core of your experience to date must have featured some time looking after CT compliance with the desire to get involved in wider issues - including VAT and Transfer Pricing.
You will be highly numerate and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication skills, and comfortable with a varied workload.
