A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of the accountancy practices in Manchester. Sitting within the corporate department, this role offers the chance for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant to join their quickly expanding team.

The role is split across both audit and accounts and you will take responsibility for running audits, working directly with clients under management supervision on the planning execution and finalisation of audit assignments. You will also be responsible for the preparing of statutory accounts and draft corporation tax computations. As well as managing various teams for a variety of clients across a range of industries.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited too;

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and develop a strong understanding of their business.
• Sets priorities, defines activities, gives responsibilities and plans work so that results are achieved on budget, within agreed time scales and within client expectations.
• Insure that the firms risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Identify and recognise business and sales opportunities with new and existing clients and inform the client partner/manager and client as appropriate.
• Supervising audit trainees, reviewing their work and providing on-the-job training and helping with their work.
• Carries out detailed audit testing at client premises.
• Preparing Statutory Accounts and draft corporation tax computations.
• Delivering expertise across primary accounting frameworks.
• Support partners and senior managers in the development of new business.

The ideal candidate for this position will be ACA/ACCA qualified and have broad practice experience with exposure to clients both in size and sector. You will seek self development and provide support to other members of the team. Be self-driven and highly motivated both practically and academically and have a strong attention to detail.
