Chief Financial Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly qualified Chief Financial Officer to become the driving force of a commercial management team and create a strong, organic partnership with the CEO of their fast paced multisite private equity backed B2C business. However they are not just looking for anyone. Their eyes are set on a character with an exceptional attitude, a keen eye for detail, a great team player and strong leadership mentality who can effectively represent the business throughout a planned future sale process.

Personal Specifications

• Presents well and is able to represent the company in key negotiations ie. Shareholders and Banks
• Experience working in a private equity backed, leveraged environment
• Experience of acquisitions, mergers and their following integrations
• A friendly but driven team player capable of working in a small, fast moving team

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong and organic partnering with the CEO and to ensure effective delivery of company strategy.
• Manage acquisitions, executions an integration
• Develop and implement change in the finance team when necessary
• Improve internal and board reporting to enhance commerciality of the business
• Improve systems, processes and controls
• Leading and delivering the operations

The company aspires to grow exponentially though both acquisitions and organic growth the upcoming years and for this reason they need a qualified accountant (preferably CA) with commercial experience who possesses challenging abilities, operational performance and is not afraid to change the structure or status quo. The role will suit individuals who are hands on and astute decision makers with the ability to drive business forward. You will be leading a hard working team as well as interacting with highly educated personnel, so management experience and a personable demeanour is desirable. Experience of leading a business through a profitable exit process coupled with the ability to stay on post exit to work towards a secondary buyout would be consider highly advantageous.
