My client is one of Europe's leading private equity investors having provided industrial expertise, operational focus and long term capital to accelerate value creation and expansion for its portfolio companies for over 20 years.

They are looking to hire an entrepreneurial finance professional to add strength to their fund finance team in a broad role with lots of responsibility. Specifically your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and review of quarterly and annual fund accounts prepared under UK and US GAAP
• Coordinating the year-end audit of the funds
• Ensure that investment accounting records of the underlying SPVs are consistent with the Fund
• Treasury - oversight of liquidity including review of capital calls and distributions
• Understanding of and familiarisation with the relevant Limited Partnership Agreements
• Point of contact for general ad-hoc investor queries
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring payments are made on time and carrying out debtor/creditor reconciliations
• Liaising with external fund administrators and maintaining relationships with the independent auditors and other external advisors
• A heavy emphasis on ad-hoc work and "value ad" to the rest of the business.

In terms of candidate personality fit is key; they place a heavy emphasis on team fit and preserving the family feel of the business - you must be capable of liaising with senior stakeholders and enjoy working in an open environment.

Experience wise they are looking for knowledge of fund accounting, either within industry or through time in audit. The role would be perfect for a Manager within one of the big4 specialising in private equity, or a qualified fund accountant who is looking for their next step.

Remuneration will be benchmarked appropriately but in the region of £55,000 - £70,000 depending on candidate experience.
