Commercial analyst

A fast growth technology business based in South Manchester require a commercial analyst to join their team during a period of rapid growth. As the business have recently taken growth funding from a private equity investor the budget for expansion has dramatically increased. This increase in funding requires an increase in commercial control to maximise utility and increase efficiencies.

The role is a newly formed position where daily duties will consistently change. There will be challenging scenarios that will have no clear answer initially and you will be expected to form robust reporting and modelling tools to analyse data sets that will enable stakeholders to make educated decisions that will ultimately drive the business forward.

Working with large volumes of data you will require an excellent ability to analyse and identify both opportunities and risk with the ability to advise on mitigation or taking advantage.

You will be expected to develop and manipulate models that will make sense of information and produce concise information and dashboards that will enable constant review of KPI's within different departments tailoring reports to individual stake holder requirements.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with an ability to educate senior decision makers within the business. You will partner with all areas of the business with a particular emphasis on the sales department. The team will require ROI intelligence upon a multitude of KPI's that will give clear indication on performance that will aid growth in the future.

Requirements for the role;

- Excellent academic record

- Strong mathematical and analysis skills

- Advanced excel and modelling experience preferably with exposure to SQL
