Start your job searchA global ratings agency’s Structured Finance team is looking to hire a Credit Ratings Analyst to maintain existing ratings and assign ratings to new structured finance transactions in a demanding and exciting role.
The team currently rates transactions across four main asset classes: Asset Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Credit.
The role covers amongst others:
· Analysing transactions to provide high quality credit opinions to investors and other market participants.
· Implementing appropriate default and cash flow modelling.
· Scrutinizing transaction legal documents to ensure compliance.
· Preparing rating proposals for presentation to internal rating committees.
· Designing and building models with team members to interpret and analyse business wide information.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Familiarity with the financial markets; while exposure to structured finance products is useful, it is not a necessity. Knowledge around the underlying assets (mortgages/loans/treasury) is also beneficial.
· Candidates will be highly numerate and analytical, with advanced Excel skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Other European languages are desirable, especially Spanish.
This role will provide the successful candidate with access to the structured finance arena, engaging across the ratings agency departments and within the industry for a market leading ratings agency.
