Marks Sattin are currently working with a Manchester based leading Accountancy and Technology advisory firm to assist in the appointment of a Data Analyst. This is a senior role that will sit in the Technology Data Analytics team, that supports and encourages personal development of soft and technical skills.

The role is a Technical role focused on the identification, collection, transformation, analysis and visual reporting of data. Strong analytical scripting and data visualisation skills is a high priority.

Responsibilities;

• Identify potential data analytical solutions and approaches to a given scenario.
• Understand available datasets at external clients to arrange the secure transfer and collection of data.
• Transform client data and write analytical scripts to be applied to data.
• Identify and apply relevant data quality and control checks across al the analytical procedures.
• Produce results in an engaging and visual way for stakeholders.

Key Skills;

• Experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following techniques;
• Data matching / data profiling / data transformation / cluster analysis / linear regression / descriptive statistics.
• Experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following applications;
• Business process & financial control analysis / forensic investigation / revenue, cost & margin analysis / Location & demographic analysis / social media analysis / ERP analytics.
• Experience using SQL suite of software including build of ETLs and analytical scripting.
• Experience of using data visualisation software (at least one of QlikView, Qliksense, Tableau or PowerBI)
