A multisite consumer products retailer is looking for a highly experienced senior finance professional to become the business' Director of Commercial Finance. This is a highly operational role, reporting to the Group CFO, contributing to all aspects of the business including strategic development and organisational efficiency.

As a key member of the management team you must be able to support, manage and develop a large team whilst ensuring the daily running of the finance function is carried out effectively and in a timely fashion. These duties will be coupled with the need to provide a real focus on commercial analysis to identify the business strengths and weakness, enabling the creation of an effective business strategy.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with a successful track record as a senior finance professional within a fast paced retail/consumer multisite business. Coming from a practice background of transactional services and/or M&A they will have strong experience of driving improvements in a large and complex business. A natural ability to be able to control the numbers and an acute eye for detail is essential. In addition, demonstrable experience of presenting effectively at board level is required. This is a high profile job and will require excellent academics, communication skills, broad finance leadership and management experience.
