The commercial finance team provide strategic and tactical advice and support to the business to help achieve their financial goals. The key purpose of the Business Partner role is to support business leaders to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for services. You will be responsible for providing dedicated, commercial and financial decision support aligned to strategic and customer priorities, to win good business and improve shareholder value

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact to business leaders; providing commercial and financial decision support
• Support the wider Finance & Commercial team in the accurate, consistent and timely completion of all Month End activities
• Responsible for the Commercial and Financial functions of the Corporate portfolio of variable works within an annual turnover of circa £15m, including;
• Monthly client reporting
• preparing client billing to achieve monthly/quarterly cash collection targets

• Develop customer relationships to support successful commercial and financial reporting
• Develop a sound understanding of the operation, the contracts and an awareness to identify and support the Commercial team in the mitigation or conversion of all risks and opportunities.
• Provide a quality of insight to support and challenge the commercial decisions of the business

Requirements

• Must hold an appropriate professional qualification for the role (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Evidence of ability to influence, negotiate, listen to and resolve conflicts with decision makers.
• Commercial acumen, as well as experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business value drivers.
• Ability to interpret and deal with incomplete data; and the capability to exercise judgement where there is ambiguity.
• Evidence of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adaptable, energetic and a continuous learner
• A high level of focus on the achievement of targeted results
• A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change
• Extensive experience working in a Finance organisation, preferably within a similar industry
• Experience in a similar role within a multi-site business is desirable
