A newly-acquired Private Equity backed business seeks a change-specialist Finance Director to lead a turnaround project.

This consumer-led business based in the Midlands are looking for a driven FD to transform the finance function, preparing it for a successful exit. The role requires a restructure of the business and refinancing in order to push the business forward.

The FD will work alongside their management teams to implement new finance systems, controls and drive performance. Tasks will include financial restructuring, implementing accounting functions and leading the production of comprehensive transformation plans. The long-term objective is to sell the business in the next two or three years.

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with excellent academic qualifications. The ideal candidate will have experience turning around a business, ideally in a high-volume, low-margin environment. You will have an eye for detail and a willingness to get your hands dirty, while your advanced communication skills will allow you to build relationships with colleagues at all levels within the business. Ideally, you will be available to start at short notice but not essential.
