This is an exciting opportunity to join a large Berkshire based European head office company on initial 15-month maternity contract. You will be reporting to the Finance Controller, this role will mainly be responsible for managing monthly general ledger preparation and closure and completion of audits and statutory filings.

Main Purpose of the Role:

This role will mainly be responsible for managing monthly general ledger preparation and closure and completion of audits and statutory filings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing a team with the timely and accurate completion of monthly reporting (3 GL Accountants direct reports).
• Managing the monthly intercompany process.
• Approving monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting in the preparation of the UK R&D claim.
• Preparing reconciliations from local accountant for countries where dual accounting occurs.
• Being involved with and ensuring completion of several audits.
• Preparing tax packs and management charges for year-end reporting.
• Other adhoc tasks and projects when required.

Profile:

Working as part of a large Finance team, the role would suit somebody with experience of working as part of a shared services environment with a strong accounting background.

• ACA/ ACCA qualified with at least 2+ years post qualifed experience.
• Strong IT skills including Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills - to communicate in a professional manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Skilled in developing strong working relationships internally and externally.
