Marks Sattin are exclusively working in partnership with sector leading organisation based in Leeds to help appoint a high flying Finance Manager. Due to a strong business model and healthy forecast, the role of finance Manager will help channel this growth to mould and shape the future strategy and support future decision making. This role is expected to get a lot of exposure amongst operations and non finance and will play a vital link between the business. This new position will play out the responsibility of a commercial controller despite the badge of being a Finance Manager and picks up 40% reporting, 40% KPI and business performance analysis and 20% undertaking board level project work.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

• Leading the 3 year business forecast
• Cash flow forecasting including reporting of working capital
• Challenging the numbers that come through the business in order to prepare and deliver a detailed commentary on the key balance sheet and cash flow variances
• Driving further discipline in the month end process through increasing effectiveness and delivering value-added solutions
• Playing a key role in high level project work contributing to transformation projects and acquisition integration work

Essentially targeting a high quartile individual who is likely to be ACA/ACCA qualified from a top 10 firm with post qualification experience and strong supporting academics. You should be able to demonstrate and articulate a high level of communication both verbally and through written reports whilst being credible enough to challenge senior stakeholders. Consideration will be given to a first moving manager from a top 10 firm or someone who is technically trained and wishing to move from an industry reporting role into a more commercially facing role destined for big things in the future.
