A Leeds based consumer business who are now positioned for much growth and change are expanding their team with the appointment of a finance manager. Over seeing the management accounts for this specific division this pivotal role will evaluate stock position, supply chain and distribution cost whilst in part playing a business partner role that will gain huge visibility in the business. A rare opportunity to truly embrace a split role as Finance Manager with a 60/40 split to monthly reporting and adding business value and commercial insight. Naturally a strong accounting foundation backed up with recent commercial exposure would carry a distinct advantage in this role. Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will be divided between:

• Providing high level Management Accounting and commentary/analysis for the board and management teams
• Finance Business partnering with operational heads and non financial audiences
• Financial Analysis stripping out usable information to support and drive commercial decision making
• Financial modeling
• Ownership of the stock and inventory

This is likely to be a fast paced role and will need the incumbent to deliver solutions and drive change. It is set to be working alongside a demanding and hugely experienced management team and whilst this will undoubtedly provide mentoring support and the potential progression to FC it will also be targeting a high flyer and someone capable of standing out!

You will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with proven exposure gained within industry and ideally in the area of stock management, supply chain and/or distribution logistics. A solid grasp of management accounting would distinctly help this person hit the ground running. It is essential that this person has strong verbal and written communication ability capable of engaging with a wide reaching stakeholder audience.
