Process driven financial accountant with a problem sovling attiutde and a talented eye for detail required by my client to support the Financial Controller and the wider reporting team with a variety of tasks encompassing;

• Non-collection bank reconciliations - Ensure cashbook entries are made and reviewed regularly for multiple business entities.

• Ownership of PCC entity - Ensure all monthly accounting and reconciliations are completed for the insurance commissions throughout the group.

• Intercompany - Responsibility to monitoring and reconciliation of all intercompany transactions across 100+ legal entities

• VAT - Ownership of reconciliation and assistance with the preparation of VAT returns for the group

• Complete monthly reconciliation of securitized liabilities. This should include process control, risk mitigation and process overhaul

• Complete daily and monthly reconciliations for mortgage assets held within the company (c.£6bn). Responsibility for continuity and maintenance of systems and their accuracy.

• EIR, Impairment and Losses - Responsibility for booking and reconciliation.

• Client reporting - Provide support and cover for client reporting team on a monthly basis.

• End of period reviews - Prepare for end of month and end of quarter Balance Sheet reviews. Complete balance substantiations and analytical reviews on assigned balance sheet areas, provide commentary on actual balances as well as movements versus prior month.

Finance Projects - Support strategic management initiatives on behalf of Financial Control. Execute on key deliverables to simplify processes and to increase speed and transparency into financial reporting.

You will be qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a minimum of 1-2 years post qualified experience. You will have a strong "hands on" financial accounting background and be confident around the month end / revenue close process. You will also have an abililty to not simply follow process but drive change, get behind the numbers and provide answers when expected to.
