Financial Controller

Superb Manufacturing business in the heart of Oxfordshire is looking to appoint a Financial Controller/ Manager to oversee a small team, reporting into the Group FD.

This privately owned SME has delivered best in class capability to a wide range of industries over the last four decades, identified by many as a key supplier in the supply chain. Covering a wide range of industries, this British stalwart has remained a constant in the market, with strong plans for growth and opportunities to develop. Blessed with a clear strategic vision, the Financial Controller will play a pivitol role in the day to day running of the company finances as well as supporting the Management Team with analysis and insight into the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owning the day to day finances of this multi-site business
  • Assisting the business on 5 year strategic plan
  • Take a lead on the Budgeting and Forecasting process
  • Consolidating group companies under FRS101/2
  • Producing the Management Accounts and associated variance analysis
  • Improve standard costing/ reporting process

To be considered for this role, it is highly likely you will have experience of working within Manufacturing/ Engineering. You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA equivalent) with a breadth of accounting skills, able to drive an motivate a team. Give the size of the business, you will be interacting with employees from different levels and departments, it is imperative you have strong communication skills. The team is welcoming, focused on career development and very personable, you will be given a tremendous level of support - however the freedom to make key decisions.
