Job Title: Financial Reporting AVP X 2 | Dublin | 6 Month Contract | €32-40 per hour

My client, based in Dublin, are currently recruiting two requirements as a Financial Reporting AVP to join their financial reporting team on a 6 month contract basis. This may roll on further due to a high volume of work within their business. The ideal candidate will have 7 - 10 years financial reporting experience and strong exposure to IFRS and US GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Main point of contact for clients
• Manage a team preparing interim and annual financial statements
• Oversee and advise financial reporting teams as required
• Responsible for recruitment, training, development of a team of managers
• Maintain performance reviews and develop strong relationships with your team
• Act as a source of technical support and guidance within the business, including undertaking reviews for financial statements prepared by the teams ensuring that all financial statements are prepared in accordance with the relevant GAAP and are reviewed in detail prior to issuance to external parties (clients / auditors)
• Actively contribute to the continuing growth and development of the business strategy
• Plan, develop and deliver upon major initiatives in collaboration with clients and support teams
• Set individual and team targets
• Make sure all controls and procedures are adhered to
• Keep updated on regulatory changes
• Be involved in other special projects as required

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other discipline
• Minimum of 7-10 years financial reporting experience is essential
• Experience in managing team members and overall supervision of teams and client deliverables
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP would be ideal
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong people management skills
