An opportunity has risen for a Financial Accountant with special responsibility for stock and fixed asset control of a rapidly expanding company. Working as part of a team of 7 people, this role will be suited to a highly motivated individual with excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Processing of general ledger activities within pre-defined service levels including: Account Analysis, Month End Process & Reporting, Reporting and Review. Strong emphasis on Fixed Asset Analysis and Reporting. The successful candidate will be a result driven finance professional with excellent organisational abilities. The role will be responsible for a portfolio of fixed assets within the Imagine Group.

Responsibilities

Working as part of the finance team with responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the fixed asset register. Fixed asset register control, reporting and analysis of fixed asset additions, disposal and depreciation. Maintain relationships internally and develop an in depth knowledge of the national wireless broadband network.

Ledger control, processing monthly journals and ad hoc activities to ensure consistency and accuracy. Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet analysis reporting to country controller with comment on variance.

Skills

  • Analytical and computer skills in MS Office, strong Excel as definite advantage
  • Ability on focus on continually improving processes and efficiencies in the fixed asset area
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while prioritising tasks effectively
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Sense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standards.
  • Initiative and drive to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well within a small team

Qualifications / Experience

  • ACA, ACCA near Qualified or fully Qualified
  • Minimum of at least 3 years' experience in an accounting environment.
  • Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience of Accounting Systems with knowledge of SAGE being an advantage.
