This is a new Fund Accountant position to join a global company in their London offices. You will be joining a team of 4 reporting directly to the Associate Fund Director dealing with their portfolio of Venture Capital firms.

The Requirements

• Prior experience as a Fund Accountant is needed (Venture Capital Funds would be advantageous)
• Ideally a background from Fund Administration
• Have prior work experience in the preparation of fund accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Strong understanding of complex fund accounting mechanisms specifically closed-end Funds
• Have an in-depth knowledge and interest in the Private Equity, Venture Capital and Start up ecosystem
• Be Part Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (not essential)

The Role:

• Perform fund administration and accounting tasks that include but are not limited to handling investors transactions, preparing capital calls, producing NAVs (capital accounts, financial reports) and preparing annual financial statements
• Enhance our fund accounting processes by working closely with the Product and Engineering teams to implement improvements and pave the way towards automated fund administration
• Get exposure to key stakeholders and be more client facing
• Exposure to valuations - work alongside the transactions and deals team across valuation reporting
