Start your job searchAs the business prepares for IPO they are recruiting to grow out their finance team an meet predicted increased demand on their finance function.
This is a great role which offers significant exposure to a company that is growing through M&A and also in the process of going for an IPO. Despite the significant increase in workload this will bring it will still be balanced role as they are cosnscious of the work ahead and planning their staffing numbers accordingly. Key Objectives:
Drive implementation of any IFRS changes across the group while assisting with the preparation of the annual report. Provide assistance with the integration of acquisitions into the group together with other project work on key initiatives. Work with Business Finance Managers and wider business community on the identification of and resolution of control issues and process improvements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess the impact of IFRS changes on the group together with implementation of requirements across the group
- Assisting and providing support with the integration of acquisitions into the group
- Assist with the preparation of the group annual report and note disclosures incorporating any IFRS changes during the year
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly group financial statements as required
- Ongoing liaison with management reporting teams and group teams to ensure reporting is comprehensive and accurate
- Ongoing review of data quality and completeness, with resolution of any identified gaps
- Liaising with group companies regarding reporting requirements
- Developing internal policy and procedure documents for the finance function and ensuring adherence across the group
- Preparation of audit files and assist in management of the audit process
- Ongoing review and assessment of controls and working with process integration to implement or enhance internal controls
- Work with Business Finance Managers, Internal Audit and Process Integration on the identification of and resolution of control issues and process improvements
- Relevant project work on key initiatives as required
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Qualified accountant with 1 - 2 years PQE
- Demonstrated and proven ability to work within a team to achieve common goals
- Experience working within an IFRS environment
- Ability to work with significant volumes of data to investigate and arrive at a point which allows an information based decision to be made
- Ability to work on their own to deliver results within a short period of time
- Demonstrate good communication skills when dealing with key stakeholders
- Audit experience either as part of an internal audit function or an audit practice
