Marks Sattin are currently partnering an international group who have a UK office in the Warwick area. This is a very cross-functional business that supply all your leading retailers with award winning products.

This is an exciting & varied role within a fast-paced environment which would suit a newly qualified ACA or ACCA looking for a first move from practice, or currently within industry & looking for the next challenge.

Key Responsibilities as Group Financial Accountant:

• Preparation of annual and half-yearly statutory consolidated group financial statements under IFRS, key contact point for external auditors. Also including liaison with other departments such as tax, treasury, commercial finance, operational finance and other business unit heads.

• To prepare relevant material for monthly Board Reporting addressing revenue, profits, cashflows, working capital, KPIs, etc

• Review and improve the financial governance and reporting processes of Group Finance and across Group companies

• Accounting support for the business

• Championing Group systems (SAP and Oracle)

• Assistance with technical accounting including acquisition and disposal accounting

• Analysis and interpretation of new accounting standards

• Monitoring and analysing variances in group performance against budget, prior year and forecast

• Ad hoc project work

Key requirements for the position of Group Financial Accountant:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Great technical accounting knowledge with a sound understanding of IFRS
• Strong MS Excel with prior systems experience being advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work under pressure during key times
• Desire to be a future leader within an international business

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 is on offer for the successful individual. There are plenty of opportunities within this business to either progress within the financial reporting team or move into other area of finance such as commercial or operations.
