A leading Irish PLC is seeking to hire a Group Financial Accountant to join their Consolidations team based in the Dublin head office.

This role will give the successful candidate excellent exposure to Senior Stakeholders in the business on a daily basis. The company has recently undergone restructuring in their Finance department creating a more tiered structure to allow for a clear progression path. The role will also provide you with extremely valuable exposure to acquisitions as the company has a highly aggresive acquisition plan in place.

The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing the Group consolidation and in doing so will provide accurate and timely management reporting requirements to key stakeholders within the Group. You will be responsible for preparing key monthly reporting requirements (flash reports, working capital analysis). You will also be involved in ad hoc projects and provide support and assistance to the Group Finance Manager and Group Head of Accounting as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the consolidation of the Group accounts on a monthly basis P&L, BS, cash flows and other reports.
• Implementation of working capital analysis reporting and assist in the improvement of working capital across the Group.
• Assist in the completion of the Group Board Report.
• Assist in the completion of all external reporting documents such as the Annual Report and Preliminary Announcement.
• Involved in the Integration of acquisitions for reporting purposes and involvement in completion accounts and earn out reviews.
• Completion of balance sheet reviews, ensuring the maintenance and improvement of internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Assist in internal and external audit queries.
• Strengthen and develop the interaction and relationship between group finance and operational management.
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.

The successful candidate will be Big 4 or Top 6 qualified with a proven track record of achievement, strong attention to detail and will have experience working within tight deadlines.
