Group Financial Controller - Private Equity Backed.

An amazing opportunity to join a financial and business services firm with a strong global brand however the vibrant culture and environment of a forward thinking - innovative business. The company has recently been acquired by a major private equity business which naturally brings big plans for the next few years. The role is for the No.2 in finance with responsibility for both Group operational finance and FP&A, reporting directly to the global CFO, a very talented individual bought into mentoring the right person in this role.

The role has responsibility for a team of c.10 people across group reporting and FP&A and is responsible for delivering the financial reporting, group audit and consolidated global business planning and forecasting. However this is just where the challenge starts; the Group Financial Controller will have a large part to play in the period of change the business will now go through in terms of growing the teams, improving processes, implementing new systems, delivering improved capabilities around business partnering and MI, and likely assisting the CFO in preparation for a private equity exit. All-in-all amazing experience to gain at this level.

Recognising both the opportunity and the challenge the business and CFO are looking for a highly driven professional with the clear desire to make and impact and get the job done. As such they are comfortable with someone with a few year post qualification experience ready to take the step up. The ideal background would be an ACA trained in the Big4 with post qualification experience in financial reporting or FP&A, however it is about finding the right person. Salary will be in line with experience/level and likely around £90,000 - £110,000 + bonus and benefits.
