A rapidly growing FinTech business are looking for an experienced contractor to join as a Head of Finance. You will report directly into the CFO and be in charge of running the day to day accounting activity as well as mentoring and coaching the current team. You will also work closely with the CFO in building out the finance function as the business look to double in size over the next 6-9 months. This is an extremely exciting time to join the business.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Production of the monthly Board packs and monthly management accounts
• Leading the external audits and preparation of Group Statutory Accounts, compliant with UK GAAP
• Continued development of the finance team and systems to enable a scale-able Finance function.
• Strong technical knowledge, with an emphasis on planning and control.
• Work closely with senior internal stakeholders including the founders and CFO to assist with the production of annual budget and business performance
• Manage the Monthly, Accounts Payable & Receivables and VAT returns

You will be a qualified accountant with experience of having worked in a FTSE250 background and managed a small finance team in the past. It is also preferable to have had experience in UK GAAP as well as being very hands on in terms of all elements of the finance function. The ideal candidate will be from an audit background with 5-6 years post qualified experience in either Banking or Technology.
