The Organisation

The organisation was formed almost 150 years ago and focuses on care, community engagement and support across the Leeds area. With over 120 staff alongside community volunteers they are a pillar of the community, providing support and commitment to those in need.

The Board of Trustees is made up of local entrepeneurs and this role will report into the CEO, providing high quality financial management of the charity to guide the organisation and fulfil their vision, mission, aims and objectives.

Through sound financial advice and management you will maintain and improve the profitibality of the charity by developing the Finance department and it's ways of working.

The Role

Whilst managing a team of 7 direct reports your responsibilities will include;

• Financial Planning and Management including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting and budgeting
• Contractual Management of each service and subsidiary body, negotiating complex contract terms and working with stakeholders to determine procurement needs and delivery
• Developing processes and procedures to develop the delivery of financial information
• Strategising and planning with the SMT to develop cost effective service delivery
• Support and develop the Finance team through effective leadership inclduing training, appraisals and creating a collaboaritve and trusting environment
• Collaborate with Facilities Management and IT to oversee strategy and developments

The Person

To be considered for this position you must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have experience of managing a Finance team previously. Ideally (but not essential) you will have charity experience and be committed to delivering quality care to those in need. You must be a confident communicator who is able to manage and develop senior stakeholder relationships.
