Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for an Interim Finance Manager for a leading innovative business in Leeds City Centre. This is an initial 3 month assignment in which they need someone to have a hands on approach and happy to "roll their sleeves up" and get into the detail. The main purpose of the role is to ensure a smooth running of finance and the timely submission of management accounts to the parent company. Responsibilities are as follows:

• Responsible for the day to day running of the finance team including important responsibility for coaching and developing the team
• Responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of monthly management accounts and other reporting. This is largely a review and management responsibility, supporting 2 part qualified individuals whose role it is to prepare these accounts and other reports
• Input to and review of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
• Overall responsibility for the operation and review of the control environment, ensuring adherence to the parent group policies and interacting with regional controllers team
• Responsible for compliance aspects - annual statutory accounts, tax inc VAT and CT
• Strong excel skills and happy to get into the finer details with the "nuts and bolts" of management accounting

This is an urgent need that will ideally need a qualified accountant who has SME experience in a service sector environment. Previous exposure of Sage and Advanced Excel is a must and you must be available to start within the next 1-2 weeks.
