The role
This Management Accountant position has been to support a new exciting project which is about to start in the business. The purpose of the role is to work as part of operations management team and clearly contribute to delivery of aggressive growth plans. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of accurate, timely financial data.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of costing and management information for the sites, incorporating site, inter-company, external and third party information as necessary.
- Providing financial analysis, input and explanations including Interpretation and explanation of usages, costs and variances
- Preparation and analysis of total delivered costs by plant as required.
- Preparation and ensuring robustness and timeliness of budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting
- New product development evaluation; contributing with proposals to optimise short and long term business success
- Assist the operations accountant on projects for improvements to total supply chain/ operational performance and procedures, through identification of relevant data, reporting, operational and planning
- Education of operational people at all levels as to the different contributors to financial performance, individual's impact and consequences of decision making
- Ad hoc, proactive investigation, reports, capital proposals and financial propositions relevant to business/ function strategy and performance.
Skills & experience required
- ACCA/CIMA Qualified, strong QBE or part qualified candidates may be considered
- Management Accounting experience
- Business Partnering experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
