Our client is a large hedge fund administration company based in Cork who have an excellent opportunity for a Qualified ACCA /ACA accountant with 2 years post qualified experience in Asset Management to lead an Internal Audit & financial reporting team. The company offers service solutions in front office, risk, valuations, middle office and funds across global locations

The successful applicant will lead a large financial reporting and internal audit team as a Financial Reporting Manager in US GAAP and IFRS. They will manage financial statement for strategic senior clients running interesting projects from start to finish while developing and cultivating their client relationships.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Prepare and deliver projects around future economic concerns and hot topics - making recommendations to the business around preparation and compliance
• Manage the process of preparing and reviewing annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAP or IFRS, as required
• Complete or review monthly CSO Net Asset Return reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland online reporting system
• Coordinate year-end financial statement process and insure Auditor queries on the financial statements are resolved on a timely basis
• Build detailed knowledge of regulations (AIFMD, UCITs and CFTC)

The successful will be:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics 2.2 min
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) with 2 years' experience post qualification in Asset Management/financial services sector
• 5-6 years of asset management accounting experience in either an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, or any other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge
• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
