Marks Sattin is currently partnering with a market leading blue chip business in Yorkshire who is recruiting for a brand new Group Risk and Internal Audit Manager - a hugely exciting brand new role that will allow the incumbent to come in and develop the role from a standing start. This is one of the most exciting roles of 2016 where you will be pivotal in implementing processes and controls as well as creating and implementing new risk register software. From a career and professional development point of view to do this from scratch will elevate you to a much stronger position and maximising your future career prospects in comparison to your peers

Working closely with senior management, you will be required to bring with you a commercial approach to understand not just the current risks to the business but as growth continues the future market risks.

Currently documented, there is limited overall group strategy in place so one of your first challenged is to develop and document this as well as raising awareness across the group. In the role you will also:-

• Draft a summary of key risks for the Executive Committee and Board
• Assist with the review of the Group risk framework
• Assist in drafting an internal audit plan, partly based upon the results of the risk assurance mapping, partly focussed on core financial controls
• Manage one direct report and the guest auditors

Working in this career defining role, you will be ACA, ACCA, IIA or CIMA qualified with post qualified experience. You will have the capability to undertake financial audits as well as bring with you a commercial view on the industry to test potential growth risks.
