IT Project Manager - Software

Pan-UK organisation in the Leisure space is currently seeking to hire a Project Manager with experience of delivering projects within the software / application development space to be based out of its prestigious offices in London.

The main remit of the role is to support the organisation's initiative to capture and utilise customer data by delivering projects centred on the design and development of a number of online applications.

The role will require this individual to have experience of database and operating systems with MS SQL Server as well as knowledge of software development methodologies.

Please note that this is not a hands-on software development role.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Liaise with project stakeholders and third party suppliers on an ongoing basis
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record of working in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• Experience of delivering software development projects
• Familiar with programming languages such as C++, C# and VB
• Database and operating systems experience with MS SQL Server and PostGres on Linux and Windows
• Competent and proficient understanding of software development platforms, such as OutSystems would be beneficial but not essential
• Hands-on experience of business requirements gathering and analysis
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
