A fast growing Fintech start-up are adding to their finance team and are looking for a junior accountant to join their London office, based near Farringdon.

Their customers include international banks, brokers, exchanges, asset managers, hedge funds, administrators, service providers and corporates. Headquartered in London, with offices in New York, Luxembourg, Edinburgh, Singapore and Poland.

The relatively small size of the Finance team means this role will benefit from a breadth of exposure right across the transactional accounting and financial control disciplines which will strongly support studying for and achieving a qualification in Accounting.

Responsibility of Junior Accountant:

• Customer billing,
• Sales team commission calculations,
• Month end accounting including accruals and prepayments,
• Credit card reconciliations,
• Purchase invoice management, including staff expense processes,
• Identification of automation opportunities and process improvements
• Liaising with service providers to resolve issues/develop process and system enhancements

Requirements

• Must have a year's experience with AP and AR
• Must be either;
• A graduate with a 2.1 University degree, with at least 1 years accounting experience
• Or, a school leaver with A-C's at A-Level, with at least 2 years accounting experience
• A "can do" and proactive approach
• Any previous experience enhancing processes or systems would be beneficial
