We are currrenlty looking for a Management / financial accountant for a short term contract role in the energy space. Applicants must be able to close month end, execute all forms of balance sheet accounting, fixed assett register work, budgeting & forecasting and will have done so in recent roles.

Key Accountabilities:

IP Ltd.

• Report and monitor project development expenditure against budget on a corporate basis for

management review.

• Ensure fixed asset register is maintained. Running monthly depreciation reports, reconciling

these to the ledgers. Updating register for additions/disposals and carrying out a monthly

review of all work in progress projects

• Agree all intercompany current accounts and intra group loan and interest balances on a

monthly basis.

• Monthly retranslation intercompany loan and interest balances of varying currencies
• Raise monthly/ quarterly intercompany re-charge invoices
• Control and monitor movement on expatriate hypothetical tax account and reconciliation with

Corporate Companies -Month end

Maintaining the accounting ledgers for companies using SUN systems up to trial balance including:

• Posting monthly accrued interest, compounding interest and cash journals using information

obtained from the treasury system

• Agree branch and intra group loans on a monthly basis and obtain authorisation of branch

funding requests. Detailed review of branch expenditure and arrange for timely funding in

accordance with set out procedures

• Reconciliations of intra group interest charges and loan balances
• Foreign currency retranslations
• Raising invoices and accruals as required
• Monthly taxation and deferred taxation calculations as required
• Complete annual business surveys for the ONS within predetermined deadlines.
• Production of yearly certificate for the Pakistan Branch; analyse full year movements and

interact with both regional accountants and external auditors in order to complete the process

within the deadline.

Job Profile

Statutory accounts

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts under various GAAPs and laws including UK, , IFRS,

Dutch, Jersey,.

• Ensuring that all accounts are filed by the respective filing deadlines and taking the lead in

liaising with company secretarial to ensure no accounts are filed late

• Dealing with external auditors on all queries raised during the audit process
• Preparing statutory accounts in iXBRL format and ensuring that at the least the minimum

tagging requirements of HMRC are adhered to

• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts/iXBRL tagging of other team members as

required

• Assisting the tax department with any queries they may have in the submission of the tax

returns
