A global energy company based in Central London are looking to appoint a Market Risk Analyst to join a pivotal team playing a key part in a dynamic business.

Reporting into the Market Risk Manager you will provide daily performance and market risk analysis for both the physical and financial trading business and will work closely with the traders and other parts of the business.

Duties include:

• Prepare daily P&L, positions and risk reports to trading and management
• Improve existing processes in terms of timeliness and efficiency
• Assist senior analysts in various market risk projects

The successful candidate will have strong academic credentials, preferably in Mathematics, Physics or Finance.

Knowledge of power, liquid natural gas and emissions market is desirable however not essential.

Candidates MUST have strong excel skills with macros and VBA knowledge.
