A new opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified accountant to join a leading technology business in The East Riding of Yorkshire.

The role is an Operations Accountant reporting into the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

Reporting into the Financial Controller this role is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and overall financial support for the business.

• Providing business partner support to the Operations Director
• Looking after the management and statutory reporting process for the business
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing the budgeting and forecasting process for the business
• Working closely with the Commercial Accounting and Financial Accounting team members in documenting processes and procedures
• Producing the quarterly balance sheet and cash flow forecast together with variance analysis

Requirements

• A qualified accountant with experience of operating in a large complex organisation
• Experience working in the manufacturing business is essential
• Good understanding of accounting for foreign currencies
• Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
• A good communicator, able to work with teams and influence well
