An excellent opportunity has arisen at an Investment Administration company based in Peterborough (Cambridgeshire) who are looking for an Operations and Reconciliations Manager to join their growing finance team contract to permanent.


You will be accountable for a team of 4 people with responsibilities for the integrity of the financial transactions that the business deals with on a daily basis {primarily securities (funds, equities, bonds) and cash movements}. The main activities will include cash reconciliations, stock reconciliations and controls around quality of data within & between systems. You will have to ensure that general ledger (SUN) and the corporate general ledger (SAGE) are maintained in line with these transactions.

You will also have responsibility for Client Money, including CMAR Reporting and CASS Analysis as well as ensuring the accuracy of the CASS data that the systems hold.

The working hours are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.

This is initially a temporary opportunity with a strong possibility of going permanent.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

  • Extensive experience of working with high value, complex financial transactions (preferably within a financial services environment)
  • Be used to working to daily reconciliation deadlines in a pressured environment
  • Managed teams of people
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Calm under pressure, ability to build relationships and earn respect of colleagues at all levels.

Duration: Initially 6 months

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
