Marks Sattin are proud to be working alongside a large independent practice based in Skipton who are seeking an Accounting Director to join their team.

The company have ambitious plans to grow throughout the North and this creates an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join their team. If you are looking for progression whilst maintaining a work life balance this role may be of interest.

  • To manage and lead the Accounting department to provide excellent client service and to deliver the budgeted internal financial performance.
  • Support the Accounting team in delivering the required departmental incremental fee target via networking, meeting attendance, business pitches and input into marketing strategy.
  • Ensure effective departmental workflow by overseeing the planning and prioritising of work.
  • Make sure clients have adequate contact with yourself and the team.
  • To be a role model for others in terms of the perceived attitude, language used and actions adopted.
  • Seek to improve the commercial/market understanding of colleagues and team members.
  • With help from others, lead the training and development of team members driving the department forward and identifying business opportunities.

Your Profile:

  • ACA/ ACCA qualified
  • Up to date and accurate technical advice.
  • Required CPD completed.
  • Anticipate the future technical legislation and the impact it will have on clients.
  • Plan to ensure the firm is aware of future and current technical or legislative developments.
  • Technical expertise in two or more specialist sectors/industries.
