Start your job searchAre you interested in a newly created role with a world leading Bank in the city of London? Your title will be a Product Controller. You will be asked to develop detailed understanding of the Balance Sheet Management and private bank. You will ensure robust controls for business activity and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- To undertake reporting of Daily P&L and to perform Analytical Review of the desk's activities
- To manage the hedge accounting processes for PBGB and ensure appropriate reporting of hedge effectiveness
- To work closely with the Regional Hedging Unit on hedging infrastructure and reporting
- To work with market risk to ensure appropriate reporting of P&L for VaR back-testing purposes
- To undertake comparison of actual P&L v/s Trader Estimate
- To ensure preparation and reporting of appropriate P&L commentary for desk activities
- To assist in identification and resolution of breaks between VC & BFC P&L
- To undertake and assist in Fair Value Adjustments for the BSM Business & MTM of Accrual Books
- To perform independent review of transaction activity against permitted instruments.
- To ensure strong communication with Front Office and Near shore/Offshore PC teams.
Interest Rate Risk Management:
- To manage structural interest rate risk positions on BSM books under ALM approved transfer pricing principles
Funding & Cash Management
- Cash Management: To ensure surplus cash is deployed and deficits are financed at the best terms for the Bank
- Funding Management: To execute and complete short and medium term funding plans on behalf of the Bank
Liquidity Management:
- To ensure the Bank will at all times be able to meet its current and potential cash flow obligations without significant commercial and reputation risks
