"HR Modernisation" Programme Context
The organisation is part way through a programme of HR Modernisation and the role of technology is central to our journey. We are modernising our function to adapt to changes in the workforce and workplace and to ensure we are positioned to add maximum value to the organisation moving forward.
As part of HR Modernisation, we have started a 2-year programme of work known as the "Workday Services Programme (WSP)" with the aim to:
- Establish HR Service Delivery Centres in key locations and transform the service delivery model from the current decentralised, fragmented approach to a simplified, standardised and consistent model
- Implement Workday globally and replace the legacy SAP HR solution
- Streamline and align all HR processes, leveraging both the organisational (Delivery Centres) and technology (Workday) opportunities; the process scope includes "core" HR transaction i.e. organisation and employee lifecycle management, and excludes talent and learning processes
- Leverage the existing, global "one stop shop" HR portal known as My HR and continue to leverage its integration capability across the HR application landscape
- Select and deploy the technologies required to support the service interaction between staff and the HR Delivery Centres
- Integrate Workday with multiple global systems including the SaaS solutions supporting the Talent and Learning domains and the service interaction technologies
Employee experience and adoption of the technologies and processes are critical success factors for the programme and will guide the design of the HR processes and Workday solution.
Within the context of this programme the Global People Data team is transitioning from SAP BW and Qlik Sense technologies to Cloudera Data Lake and Microsoft Power BI.
