My client are a global technology business with revenues in the billions. A household name that rings synonymous with excellence in the tech and software space. The revenue accountant will work as part of the EMEA Revenue Operations team, focusing on supporting non-standard deal structuring, financial operation reporting and analysis of monthly/quarterly sales activity. The team are fantastic, the HM is perennially on hand to offer support and guidance and the offers the chance to work from home Monday & Friday pending successful graduation from probation. This role offers exposure to a wider variety of elements pertaining to revenue and accounting operations and will develop organically as the incumbent settles in a becomes more comfortable with the role day to day. The structure of finance is geared towards promoting people internally and excellence is always rewarded.

Responsibilities:

• Performing technical accounting research on revenue recognition related topics.
• Contract review, analysis, and summary.
• Preparing quarterly detailed analysis of revenue transactions, to ensure compliance with software revenue recognition criteria.
• Interfacing with internal and external audit on revenue related issues.
• Quarterly audit support; Order Review, Large Deal package preparation
• Renewal Analyses
• Ad hoc projects and UAT testing
• Ad hoc tasks and responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• ACCA or Degree (Finance or Accounting) required
• Detailed understanding of accounting guidelines for revenue recognition preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline
• Work effectively with team members - internal and external to department
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills
• Current or previous Big 4 or Nation Tier public accounting firm audit experience.
• Detailed working knowledge of US GAAP required
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
