A Director originates, in close coordination with the Global Sector Heads, Senior Relationship Bankers, and other product groups including ECM, DCM and Acquisition Finance, mandates with strategic and core clients and prospects of the bank's international Food & Agriculture network. A Director has a focus on several sub-sectors within Food & Agriculture, and responsibility for a group of allocated priority clients and focus within these sectors. A Director leads origination efforts that entail analyses and storyboarding to support a constant strategic dialogue with international clients and prospects at C-suite level.

The team you'd be joining advises the global client base which consists of all leading companies in the Food & Agriculture sector. Clients include public companies, privately owned companies and financial sponsors ("private equity firms"). With c. 120 Corporate Finance professionals around the globe and dedicated banking teams in the Netherlands, New York, Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Mumbai and Singapore, our client offers full support to its clients in (cross-border) Corporate Finance transactions.

Job Requirements

Experience

• At least 8 years of relevant working experience in investment banking/corporate finance/strategy consulting/private equity
• Extensive track record in (i) originating and/or executing Corporate Finance transactions and/or (ii) strategy consulting or commercial due diligence exercises
• Experience in building and maintaining a network of owner/CEO/CFO/head of strategy and M&A - level contacts.
• Is able to build and manage a team

Education

• Master's degree

Required knowledge

• Very good command of the English language
• Extensive M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, strategy consulting and/or commercial due diligence knowledge

Sector/product knowledge (access to clients)

• Knowledge of relevant legal and tax, accounting and compliance issues as they relate to corporate finance and the business of our clients
• Knowledge of equity market dynamics
• Understanding of the extension of Corporate Finance organization within the framework of WCI and able to implement plans and make them effective
• Knowledge of business and process management
