Located in North Yorkshire, we are looking for an experienced and fully qualified finance professional to take on a new challenge as a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is working for an extremely fast paced manufacturing business who are very well established within their industry.

This role will allow you to lead a team of 6 direct reports. You will be required lead the team who produce weekly and monthly financial statements in line with group and reporting standards. The role also requires you to manage the financial internal control environment and prepare budget and forecast data for the primary financial statements and fixed costs.

Duties:

• Preparation on monthly accounts for the site
• Investigating GL account details, responding to queries and account variances to provide information and insight for Senior Management
• Production and submission of statutory returns
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts from basic data
• Preparation of a monthly audit file with supporting documentation
• Monitoring capital spend against budget and approved capex spend limits
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation for overheads and forecast/budget balance sheet and cash flow
• Year end reporting - Group Stat packs
• Annual tax pack preparation

Requirements:

• Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with post qualified experience
• Ability to confidently lead, influence and coach direct reports
• Strong IT skills - including advanced Excel
• Manufacturing industry experience
