In this role you will responsible for producing timely, accurate financial accounts by preparing information for the consolidated group; in particular support Directors monthly overhead cost report and analysis to budgets.

A commercially driven role, the successful candidate will manage their time across a diverse range of stakeholders in the organisation. A high profile role that will give you exposure to all senior stakeholders across the business; demonstrating the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment is key.

The Role

  • As a business partner you will be working closely with the shared service center, Head of Group Reporting and FP&A Director, to provide analysis and insight on actual and forecast finance data.
  • Establish and build key relationships with business unit directors, supporting on ad hoc projects as required
  • Work with FP&A teams in preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly reports.
  • Have control and ownership of monthly overhead reports, for UK functions
  • Assist with the analytical review of month end results against budget/forecast
  • Producing monthly accounts, including P&L and balance sheet with accompanying reconciliations
  • Contributing to continuous business improvement through incremental change and innovation, and manage success external audit outcomes by adhering to group accounting policies

Your Profile

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified with some PQE working in a commercial business
  • Practical working knowledge of overhead costs and budget v actual reporting
  • Project Accounting experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products and Finance ERP systems
  • Ability to work with large amounts of transactional data and understand timesheet cost allocation
  • Worked in a large organisation, matrix structured organisation
  • Construction/Property Industry knowledge or industries with complex contractual arrangements
