Senior Interim Finance Consultant - Immediate Start - 6 Month contract - Media - West London

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join a dynamic finance team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting process while ensuring compliance. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports, strengthening financial controls and providing valuable insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

    • Lead and manage the financial reporting function, including the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
    • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather and analyse financial data, ensuring its completeness and accuracy.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, and proactively address any potential impacts on financial reporting.
    • Oversee the coordination of external audits, ensuring compliance with audit time-lines and deliverables.
    • Provide guidance and support to the finance team regarding technical accounting matters and assist in resolving complex accounting issues.
    • Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and presentations to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business improvement.

Essential:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Familiarity with IFRS and general application of IFRS
  • Possess strong technical and analytical accounting skills with significant experience of financial controls, financial reporting and year-end statutory financial statements preparation
  • Experience in regulatory reporting within the insurance sector
  • Previous experience with a media environment
