Overview
A senior member of the internal IT Helpdesk team supporting and maintaining the internal IT systems and services.
Key member of the IT Department supporting and maintaining the internal IT systems and services. The IT Department's primary function is to proactively support the technological needs of the company, enabling us to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers.
The role is to support various systems with a strong focus on Microsoft based technologies and involves working closely with teams across the company with a view to empowering colleagues to continually find ways to enhance and improve business operations through technology.
Duties
Installing and maintaining IT services and Solutions:
- Plan and management of installations, deployments and upgrades of IT Systems as required in line with defined roadmaps and project portfolio.
- Liaising with stakeholders to establish requirements then source and deliver IT solutions to meet set
- Maintaining and administering of server, firewalls, switches, routers wi-fi controllers and APs.
- Ensure that the IT systems and services are designed and maintained in line with our ISO27001 controls and mindful of GDPR
- Monitor IT systems and services to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to ensure IT services are accessible and available during working hours.
- Manage performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the IT systems and services
- Providing comprehensive systems documentation
Service Request and Incident Management:
- Take a senior role within the support team, acting as an escalation point and providing guidance and support for 1st and 2nd line support staff
- Diagnose and resolve critical IT issues
- Monitor incoming requests/faults reported by users via Helpdesk mailbox/phone. Ensure request/faults are responded and resolved with a service-oriented, SLA-driven
Change Management
- Manage the process of test/schedule/release/document changes to systems and

- Update and maintain IT documentation
- Understand, support and champion ISO27001 policies and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in installing and maintaining Microsoft solutions, including the below technologies
- NET / IIS / SQL stack
- Windows 10
- Cisco ASA
- Cisco Switches
- Office365
- Exchange 2013
- SharePoint 2013, 2016
- SQL Server 2012/2016
- Active Directory, Windows 2008 / 2012
- PowerShell
- Virtualisation
- Customer focused approach
- Logical/Analytical approach to problem-solving
Preferred
- Any MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP certifications
- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint
Experience of Office 365
