I am working with a very well know leisure and hospitality business currently who are looking for an Interim Senior Management Accountant for an initial duration of 3 months. They have over 40 venues across London and the UK, including bars, clubs and restaurants and they are ever growing and opening more and more venues. Based in Leicester Square they have a team of 15 in finance and are looking for a confident and dynamic accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile the weekly trade review and distribute accordingly;
  • Compile and send out the daily, weekly and monthly sales reports to the company;
  • Compile the month end journals for the respective P&L lines (listed below);
  • Review the P&L for the respective lines responsible for and ensure corrections are journaled;
  • Submit the final P&L's and VOP's';
  • Compile the quarterly bonus calculations;
  • Update the business plan;
  • Produce the monthly rollover pack;
  • Update the UCP, Sales and EBITDA Database;
  • Ensure that the Management Accounts are issued and that commentary is provided for variance analysis for actuals v budget and forecast where applicable;
  • Responsible for meeting with the respective department heads to go through the monthly results;
  • Compiling the annual budget and any forecasts if applicable on a quarterly basis;
  • Ensure that the P&L analysis are done and that pre-payments and accruals are reconciled and balance sheet recs are done to a high standard with full back up;
  • Providing costs analysis and making recommendations of cost savings;
  • Preparation of Financial Statements at year end;
  • If required compiling and submission of the VAT returns;
  • Sales Analysis by Cost Centre and the issue of sales report;
  • Ensure that month end time table and year end timetables are followed;
  • Set objectives for direct report and have regular 121's. Lead, motivate and coach direct report.

Personal Requirements:

  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified with relevant post qualification experience;
  • MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED USER OF SUN
  • Analytical and Logical Problem solving;
  • Good Business Understanding;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to explain Financial Info;
  • Honesty and Discretion;
  • Team working skills;
  • Flexible and a can-do attitude with an eagerness to grow and learn;
