A top banking organisation is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to lead a large regulatory programme for their global HR business. This London based role requires an individual to demonstrate competency in decision making and problem solving in a complex regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the project through the methodology and successfully delivering the scope with a disciplined approach to change control
- Developing a detailed Work Breakdown Structure and resource plans to deliver scope
- Managing the delivery of and providing directions to a number of cross-functional work streams within a project, working closely with the relevant business leads and stakeholders on a daily basis
- Ensuring scope, approach, solution design, timelines, costs, and all other key aspects of the project are documented
- Preparing materials for governance meetings as required including Board quality presentations
- Creating financial baselines and track cost actuals in a detailed budget document for submission to HR PMO and Finance monthly
- Manage project expenditure against budget as agreed in the project business case and project definition document or approval request
- Work with the Project Accountable Executive to establish a Project Steering Group with detailed terms of reference and action logs outcomes
- Ensure that issues and risks are identified, managed and resolved to ensure a robust escalation process is in place where PMO, Accountable Executive and Project Steering Group are required to own mitigating actions
- Managing Project governance through delivery of detailed Work Breakdown Structures, Project Working Groups and Steering Committees
- Ensure all Project documents are audit ready at all times
- Maintain Project Team Site in SharePoint
The candidate suitability is determined by the following skills set and experience that are detailed bellow:
- Sound knowledge of the PRA and other regulator requirements affecting UK and European Banks
- Experience of leading large cross-functional teams of Business Analysts, Technology, Product and Operations teams along with Risk, legal and compliance teams.
- Proven experience of delivering £multi-million regulatory change
- Extensive experience within the Project Management domain
- Experience in leading regulatory / compliance projects for UK financial services providers
- Evidence of prior experience managing and influencing stakeholders at Executive/Board level and providing high quality presentations and updates
- PeopleSoft / Oracle experience or Data Analytics experience an advantage
- Project Management accreditation - PMP/ITIL/PRINCE2
- Deep understanding of waterfall / PMBOK methodology
