SharePoint Developer/Administrator - London

Pan-uk organisation within the logistics space is currently looking for a SharePoint Developer / Administrator for an initial 3 month contract in London.

The main remit of the role will be to manage, maintain, support and enhance the company wide Intranet based on the SharePoint platform, as well as develop applications, interfaces and solutions that will promote collaborative working and support the relevant ICT and Information Management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with key stakeholders to analyse and understand specific project and organisational requirements providing time and effort estimates for implementing solutions.
• Develop SharePoint solutions (sites, custom code, modules, and components) that balance user needs with business goals and technology capabilities.
• Maintain up to date system documentation.
• Proactively identify and recommend potential solutions that could assist in achieving business goals.
• Support the SharePoint Administrator as required in:
  • Administration, maintenance and monitoring of the SharePoint environment
  • Working with relevant 3rd party experts, internal teams and suppliers to ensure that the SharePoint environment is set up optimally and running efficiently with minimal outage
• Ensure security, including access control levels are fully managed.
• Be a SharePoint advocate and evangelist throughout the organisation highlighting the potential that it can provide for the organisation.
• Identify areas of improvement that help the ICT Systems Development team implement best practices and improve our methodology to deliver high quality and successful projects.

Essential skills

• Extensive experience of developing solutions on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online
• Significant experience of developing and supporting an enterprise level Intranet on SharePoint.
• Highly tuned analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills dealing with staff in a variety of disciplines and seniority.
• Experience of working directly with the business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Demonstrable track record of providing technical advice based around SharePoint capabilities.
• Keeping up to date with the latest advances/trends in the SharePoint community.
• Extensive technical experience in the following:
• SharePoint 2010
• InfoPath 2010
• SharePoint designer (2007/10)
• Office 365
• SharePoint Online
