Duties and Responsibilities

Costings

• Develop an understanding of the Production system (Vision) and stock control cards to support data gathering and investigation
• Understand the assumptions and review the actual and standard costs in a complex manufacturing environment
• Analyse material variances, manage inventory reporting and reconcile to COGS. Highlight large variances and key drivers for these, Identify the raw material inflation and procurement savings initiatives in the accounts.
• Analyse labour variances and explain under or over recovery of cost
• Annually perform a review of the BoM assumptions to the estimated costs ( Lot Size, Waste, Machine Hours) and update the labour and overhead rates for accurate costing of goods and valuation of estimates
• Provide actual customer profitability and explain variances to estimate costs including tracking of selling price activity

Monthly Reporting

• Help prepare the month end accounts and prepare journals for accruals and prepayments to complete the accuracy of the accounts, in liaison with Shared Services
• Produce monthly reports for the sites including departmental cost reports and site reporting packs vs Plan, vs Last Year & vs Forecast
• Prepare analysis of product group P&Ls and ensure costs are allocated as directly as possible
• Report into Cognos Controller in accordance with Group Accounting Timetable, including completion go submission forms as required
• Review the goods received not invoiced reports & ensure its accuracy and validity
• Prepare stock provision calculations for the sites
