The Business

The business operates from a large site based just outside of North Yorkshire and operates in 3 main core activities focusing on sustainable and renewable energy sources.

They are a vital strategic asset nationally and also to the local economy, employing over 600 people at the site.

The Role

The role will provide technical accounting guidance to different business units across commercial and operational departments.

You will implement and manage internal controls and procedures and business partner with senior stakeholders to ensure that the risks and opportunities of any strategic decisions/projects will not have a negative impact on financial results and reporting.

Tasked with taking the lead on financial reporting and management you will ensure robust controls are consistently practiced and improved by the wider Finance team.

The Person

To be successful in this role you must be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) and have trained in an Accountancy practice.

This role would suit someone from an Audit/Assurance background looking for their first step into industry or someone who has operated in a similar role in industry and is looking for a step into a large listed business with more scope.
