Test Architect - Mobile Network Communications

A global communications company is currently looking for a Test Architect with a good understanding of Mobile Network Operating solutions, OSS / BSS and NOC technologies for an initial 6 month contract to be based at its prestigious offices in the Berkshire / Hampshire area.

The main remit of the role will be to design and deliver the testing strategy and approach for the organisations OSS / BSS related systems and services.

Responsibilities

• Establish test lab capabilities for OSS & BSS systems including definition of the IT test lab environment and establishing processes to manage test configurations
• Implementation of the test principles and test methodologies defined in the company's Test Strategy;
• Identification of the Test tools, stubs, test beds etc. for the Systems under test
• Review of the technical documents with design architects in order to identify Test scope and testing approach
• Contribute to the Technical Impact Assessments from the Design and architecture team against Change Requests and
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) tests with simulation tools where necessary
• Identify automation methods and tools required for the test phases
• Identify and implement test data setup requirements for the test phase with effective methodologies for cross functional testing

Skills Required

• Proven track record of test environment design and delivery spanning Integration and Test of Communications Systems
• Good understanding of Mobile Network Operating solutions, OSS & BSS and NOC technologies is essential
• A Degree (preferably in an Engineering related subject)
• Expertise in incident management and problem solving
• Good nderstanding of test stages and test phases required during systems Integration of large communication systems
• Experience in managing testing of Mission Critical solutions
• Good understanding of Public Safety Communication System requirements is preferable;
• Experience in supplier test / quality assurance for key OSS and BSS Supplier systems would be highly desirable
• Experienced in working to ISO Quality Standards
• You will ideally already hold a current UK Security Clearance, or be willing to undergo Security vetting, following a Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) check
